The Performing Arts Collective, Inc. produces diverse classes and performance opportunities, challenging local talent of any level to refine and present their skills.

We are a leading provider of multicultural entertainment and education throughout Taranaki, creating workshops and an annual showcase in New Plymouth.

PAC encourages collaborations between different genres of performing arts, as well as different ages and levels of experience.

Some of these wonderful singers, dancers, musicians and models are even performing together as a family.

We run workshops regularly, some of which work towards our annual showcase in the spring.

Our leadership

Keri Elvin shares some of her experiences with PAC, and why it’s so rewarding to serve as our Director.

She initially formed the Performing Arts Collective in 2011 as a way to provide performing opportunities that weren’t otherwise available, such as family ensembles that wanted to perform together, rather than separately in their age groups.

PAC has been a registered charity since 2015.

The PAC committee learned that participating in tī rākau (Māori stick games) builds coordination, trust and team building skills - not to mention, bonding over a good laugh!

The Performing Arts Collective has been pleased to collaborate with other local organizations, such as Sisonke Taranaki African Community.

Our shared priorities of cultural expression, inclusion, and education have led to meaningful participation in community events. It’s been very valuable for those of us in PAC with an interest in African music and dance to make these connections!
